Team Tactics
01 / THE PROJECT
What I built, and how.
OVERVIEW
Team Tactics is an isometric, turn-based tactics game built in Unity as a five-person senior project. Players move units across a grid battlefield, choosing between Move, Abilities, Items and Wait, with characters defined by STR, END, INT, AGI and DEX stats.
MY ROLE — 3D MODELER & UNITY DEVELOPER
I was responsible for the overall visual design and look of the game, including environments like the lobby, tutorial and battle stages, as well as character models. That began with early brainstorming and concept art to set the visual direction, then modeling assets in Blender and integrating them into Unity. I handled lighting, texturing and material setup so everything looked consistent in-engine, and created interactable assets such as potions, weapons and other gameplay elements.
TOOLS USED
Unity · Blender · [EDIT: texturing / concept-art tools, version control]
PROCESS
Concept art and visual direction → modeling in Blender → import into Unity → lighting, texturing and materials → interactable props. I worked with the developers in Scrum sprints and refined assets to fit project requirements and team feedback.
CHALLENGES
[EDIT: e.g. keeping a consistent look across artists and stages, Blender-to-Unity material issues, performance.]
FINAL RESULT
A playable build presented in the team's final presentation above, featuring the lobby, tutorial and battle stages, for the Senior Project course at the University of Florida. [EDIT: teammates' names/roles if you want to credit them, and a build or repo link.]
