The Last Horizon

01 / THE PROJECT

What I built, and how.

OVERVIEW

The Last Horizon is a 2D pixel-art space game made with Chase D. as our CAP 3032 final project. From a title menu with Story and Swarm modes, players move between illustrated dialogue cutscenes in a starship cockpit and space-shooter action.

MY ROLE

Game developer and artist. I integrated the game's visuals with its gameplay systems, and Chase and I worked on the game design together. [EDIT: confirm your role, and what you built versus Chase D.]

TOOLS USED

[EDIT: engine or language, pixel-art tool, audio tools.]

PROCESS

[EDIT: how the two modes, the cutscene system and the shooter loop came together.]

CHALLENGES

[EDIT: one to three real problems and how you solved them.]

FINAL RESULT

A playable game shown in the final project video above. [EDIT: playable build or repo link.]
